We wish the City of Petoskey homeowners (who exercised their 1A and property rights to make an important statement during the holiday season) a very Merry Christmas.
The giant Bible pictured is on the lawn of much-driven-by street and references the books of Luke and John. Specifically, how God became man via the person of Jesus starting with the babe in the manger "wrapped in swaddling clothes" and noting that the "Word became flesh."
Christmas is, indeed, much more than Santa Claus, reindeer, snowmen, gingerbread houses, lit trees, carols (although those are traditional, whimsical symbols that are fun and sweet).
It's about celebrating the birth of the Savior of all men and women.
Glory to the newborn King!
Woohoo! Amen! I love to see that beautiful display! And all the mangers, angels, and Stars of Bethlehem ❤️ This is such a wonderful time of year when we can openly share the JOY of our Savior! My children and I will be ringing the bell for Salvation Army and singing Christmas carols in downtown Petoskey next week. I LOVE singing "JOY TO THE WORLD THE LORD HAS COME!" nice and loud for all the city to hear 😀
